L’evento è suddiviso in tre momenti.

Every year AMECE organizes with its members, volunteers and educators, the sports event for integration and approach to sport: Corri al Balon, now in its ninth edition, on St. John’s Day (June 24), in the beautiful neighborhood of Aurora (Porta Palazzo), in Borgo Dora, but involving users from all over the city. The event is divided into three moments. At the same time there will be several stands in Piazza Borgo Dora, the starting point of the races, where the different communities of the city, as well as associations, can exhibit and exchange food, traditions, experiences and music. All commercial activities in the area are invited to open their doors and contribute to the day of celebration. In the morning there will be a workshop dedicated to educational and sports welfare, aimed at parents and children, mainly women who are not used to sports, but who want to get involved. As a support it is expected the collaboration with some sports promotion bodies. The objective of the day and the event is to enhance the value of its territory, through the involvement of all the realities that make it up and who are committed to enhancing a place that, especially following the latest redevelopment, has much to offer both in economic terms (greater visibility to tourists), social (promotion of active citizenship, integration, etc. ..) and cultural. In addition, we try to enhance cultural integration through sport that has always united us all, bringing as many people as possible, living the day as a moment of celebration and sharing. All the communities of diasporas and not, and the children of the school networks are involved. In order for the event to take place in the safest and most serene way possible, we will also add the valuable contribution of the Security Committee of Porta Palazzo and the law enforcement agencies that, for some years now, are committed to ensuring residents, citizens and tourists the opportunity to enjoy what the neighborhood offers in terms of sociality. A first part is reserved for children and young people who will run on a ring of about 800 meters with different starts and distances depending on age. The second part is dedicated to all citizens who will run, at free pace according to their abilities, in extended circuit. The third a walk for mothers with children, even for those still on the stroller.
